| My personal favourites would be:
Seven Samurai (Shichinin No Samurai)
Yojimbo/Sanjuro (Yojimbo/ Tsubaki Sanjuro)
Samurai Banners (Fu-rin-ka-zan)
Ran (Ran)
The Hidden Fortress (Kakushi Toride No San Akunin)
Samurai Trilogy (with Toshiro Mifune as Musashi Miyamoto)
Though chances are that I’m going to think of a load more once I’ve posted this! I would like to mention the Zatoichi, Kozure Okami and Lady Snow Blood films/series but do they really count as true chambara movies?
Anyway I’m sure that Kawama has more to say about this poll
