Response to Regurgitating old posts

In that old thread I regurgitate the myth about Kerouac writing with a single roll of paper, typewriter and jazz music: crap. The NY Public Library dug up several handwritten, typed, and hand edited copies of near all his books in manuscript form. On the Road was found on a single roll of paper, but it none of it matched the final draft completely. That was found in a typed manuscript. The conclusion: just like every other story teller since the beginning of time Kerouac wrote, edited, and rewrote. He must have been a hipster at heart, because all the spontaneous prose crap was started from his own mouth. A move, in my opinion, someone more concerned with fashion than literary integrity would make.
