|I would definitely second the Tonkatsu with the Tempura ranking up there as well. I would also steer clear of excessive use of seaweed and then there are eggs. It seems a lot of Japanese dishes have eggs, while personally I like them (this one girl gave me a Pizza with an egg on it - delish!)..I am not sure if the raw egg is an aquired taste or not.|
I think most of the noodle dishes are safe, Soba, Udon, Ramen. Those are all good. A ramen soup with sliced pork or beef. Also, most westerners (at least in the US) don't drown food in Mayonaise that seems to happen here quite a bit.
