Now this is pitiful ...

Okay, I know that at one point or another everyone has to learn at least a little Japanese, just to get by. Yeah, I got to learn it in school so you won't find me poring over self-help kana books and the like, but I still have a LONG way to go. So, I'm always on the lookout for new programs to help move my Japanese along. But boy was I surprised to find THIS program, which is actually broadcast in Japan:

Okay, here you are in Japan, hopelessly lost among fluttering tongues and monstrous kanji like

(okay, so you'll never really see this kanji on the street. but work with me here) and you wanna learn Japanese. Should you A) go get some friends and get pissed while jabbering incoherently in what sounds to you like Japanese or B) listen along as the world's biggest dork hits on girls in EVERY city along the Japanese archipelago, S-L-O-W-L-Y learning simple Japanese phrases? I have been listening to this for awhile, I thought I'd share the wealth. Perhaps the only redeeming feature is the cute hostess. And BTW, apologies if anyone actually uses this program to study or thinks all gaijin efforts at learning Japanese are inherently wonderful.
